SASSA will be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office committed to service the area daily. The company point established for intervention ordeals a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost access SRD to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
